I am looking for information on the family of Joseph Marx, son of Christian. Joseph was born in 1824 in Prussia. He married Margaret Gergan, daughter of Nicolas and Anna Gergan. Both the Marxes and Gergans settled in Rubicon, Dodge Co., WI in the 1860s. Joseph and Margaret removed to Monroe Co., WI in the mid-1880s. Their son, Peter Joseph Marx resided in Dodge and Monroe Co.s as well. Peter married Cecelia Schreier, daughter of Johann and Anna (Breitmacher) Schreier.
