Richard, my Father was Paul Andrew Mangan, his dad was Andrew Mangan, his dad was Patrick Mangan from county Offlay( then called Phillipstown) he had two brothers, Andrew and Ruchard. Patrick came to Boston in @ 1880 ish. His brother Richard came here to find him, They both worked for a local brewery here in boston for a few years, Patrick married, his wife past then he re married and had two children, Andrew and Richard (from his first wife they had a baby girl that died from a plague of some kind at age 4) Patrick (my great grandad) was the drink that killed my great g dad .. his head was crushed in an accident when he was driving a beer wagon. (little humor there hehe) his brother richard was married here and had 2 children then divorced, then re married and had 2 children then either she died or divorced. he then moved to kingston ... where i have him as being burried near there. hope this makes some sense to you. all the rest is like I said when i was a child we went to kingston ontariuo and visited a cousin of me dad's she had the last name Rourke ... or O'Rourke make any sense to ya? |
