My grandfather was James Maitland Moore, a grandson of Alexander Moore and Elizabeth Lee Forker. I have some notes my grandfather copied from the family Bible. Children of Alexander and Elizabeth are: Mary Ann Maitland, b. 1857, d. 1864; Elma Elizabeth Maitland (my great grandmother), b. 1859; Elmer Ellsworth Maitland, b. 1861; Sarah Celestia Maitland, b. 1863. Also listed is a David McCutcheon Maitland b. 1839, son of Alexander by a previous marriage. Alexander was the son of Andrew Maitland b. 1777 and Rachel Henry. Only other mention of Forkers are these deaths: John Forker, died 1845; Sabila Forker, died 1849.
