I followed this group for a while since they were in the same area as my family. Turned out that they probably don't connect to mine, but I still have the information.
Reuben A Mahaney (circa 1830 - after 1900)appears to have been the son of Chesley Mahaney and Dorothia "Doshia" unknown. Margaret E Jordan (circa 1834 - between 1880&1900) may have been the daughter of Charles Jordan and Amanda unknown. Reuben and Margaret were both born in KY, probably either Barren or Monroe Counties, since that's where Chesley was in early 1800's. The children I was able to identify as belonging to Reuben and Margaret were:
James Emanuel born 10 Jan 1856 Monroe Co., KY died 30 Nov 1920 Rogers, Benton Co., AR buried City Cemetery Rogers, AR married Fannie Shirley 21 June 1880 Richmond, MO
John C born 1862 Monroe Co., KY died Mar 1925 Rogers, Benton Co., AR buried Ozark Cemetery, Benton Co., AR married about 1889 Annie Laura Cook (1870-1920)
Mary E born about 1863 Mt. Vernon, IL
Margaret E born about 1864 Mt. Vernon, IL
McClellan (male) born about 1866 Mt. Vernon IL died before 1915
Andrew "Andy" J born circa 1868 Mt. Vernon, IL died 2 Dec 1915 Rogers, Benton Co., AR
Frances B (female) born about 1871 Mt. Vernon, IL
Martha Anna born about 1872 Mt. Vernon IL married James Sikes (she was living in Rogers in 1915 when Andy died)
Andy's obit(1915) lists two surviving sisters: Mrs. Annie Sikes of Rogers and Mrs. Docia Skeen of Springdale
John C's obit (1925) lists two surviving sisters: Mrs. Dollar and Mrs. Burdick both of Rogers. Perhaps these two are Annie and Docia who married again. Annie's husband died in 1913. I don't know if Docia could be Mary, Margaret, Frances or another daughter entirely.
I would guess that Reuben and Margaret both died in Benton Co., AR. They were enumerated in Big Springs Township in 1880 with chidren John C down to Martha Anna. Reuben was living with John C and family in 1900 census of Benton Co., AR, listed as a widower.
I probably have more on them somewhere. Let me know if you need it.
