John Whitten/on b. Sept 27 1797/8 in England d. December 27, 1877 m. June 2, 1819 in Wrangle, Lincoln(shire), England to Lucy Smith b. 1798 in England and died August 8, 1880. Both are buried in Marshall Cemetery Cannon Twp., Kent Co., MI. CHILDREN: (1) Rebecca Whitten/on b. March 13, 1819 in England d. May 15, 1896 m. December 11, 1838 in Washteneau Co., MI to Robert Howard. Their children Lucy A. Howard m. Merritt Stocking, Andrew W. Howard m. Alice Unger, Sara Jane Howard m. ??, Mary Jane Howard m. Wheeler Pond. (2) Ann Whitten/on m. Capt. John W. Pexton. Their children Harriet Pexton and Ann Pexton. (3) Mary Whitten/on m. George Lyman. (4) John Whitten/on b. May 2 or Dec 28, 1828 in Benington, Lincoln(shire) England d. May 10, 1894 m. 1856 to Margaret Johnson b. in Saratoga Co., NY the daughter of James Johnson & Rosamond Smith. Their children were George Whitten/on, Charles Whitten/on, Manley Whitten/on. (5) George Whitten/on b. August 22/3, 1841 d. September 18, 1860
