I just started researching my first LYMAN today and used this site to trace my Lebanon (CT) LYMANs back to Flavel! I guess he is the first immigrant? Now I want to know what sources you folks use. I'm confused because many of you refer to references by various short-titles. I want to order the right book on interlibrary loan or through the FHC so I need to get it right. Are you using: 1) L. Coleman, Genealogy of the Lyman fam. in Gr. Britain & Amer.; the anc. & desc. of Richard Lyman, from High Ongar in Eng. 1872 2) Lucretia Lyman Ranney, My children's American ancestry : comprising the Ranney family, Amasa Mason Lyman, Edward Partridge, Lydia Clisbee, Joseph Robison, Lucretia Hancock and all related lines. 1959. Or maybe something else? Are there other books on the branch from Lebanon CT back to Flavel? |
