There is a Robert Lymon/Lyman? listed as being among the first settlers in what is now Newark, NJ. These people came from Ct. and were classified as Puritans. They came by small boats in 1666. I have found a Robert Lyman, son of Richard - founder of the Lymans in America - but he appears in Mass. Did his son go to Newark? If you have any information I would be greatly appreciative of anything you have. I am trying to connect one of his daughters to the Thomas Huntington - Hannah Crane family and their grandson Simon. Please contact me at my e-mail address as well as on the forum.
