I'm researching the BALDWIN lineage, but I thought I would pass on the following two obituaries for Frederick Lyman, and his spouse, (my gg-aunt, Eliza Ellen Baldwin).
Frederick Lyman, Sr., died of paralysis Sunday at 2:20 a.m. following an illness of over two years. The deceased was born in LaPorte county, January 20, 1850, and therefore was 67 years and ten months old. Most of his life was spent in this county. He was married to Eliza Ellen Baldwin, of this county, November 11, 1873, in Berrien County, Mich. Six children survive besides the wife. They are: Mrs. Maude Chulip, 501 Jefferson ave., at whose home his death took place; Mrs. William H. Chulip; Fred Lyman, Jr., Mrs Ernest Gariepy; Mrs. Palmer and Mrs Joseph DeVoto, all of LaPorte. The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock ath the home of Mrs. Maude Chulip, 501 Jefferson avenue. Rev. David LeB. Goodwin will officiate and burial will be at the Pine Lake cemetery. Friends may attend the services at the house, but burial will be private. Cutler Bros. are in charge."
