This is the message I am responding to:

I am researching the Lydon family and I found your message posted to the Rootweb message board. I am looking for a particular line but am also interested in how these Lydon's connect to one another.

Pat Lydon b. abt 1869 married in 1889 to M. Lydon (possibly Mary or Margaret, possibly the daughter of James and Mary Lydon. Pat and M. Lydon had a son, Michael (g. grandfather) b.l 1889 in Mayo.

I think Pat had a brother named James who married Mamie Brennan.

Mary McNicholas b. 1889 married Michael Lydon b. 1889 in the US, possibly in NY although they settled in Chicago. She is probably the daughter of John McNicholas and Cecelia Jordan b. 1855. They were married in 1875.

I am told that Michael Lydon's mother, M. Lydon is the sister of Mary Jean Lydon, Gene Tunneys mother b. 1867.

Most of the baptismal and civil records show the family from Kiltimagh, Woods, and Gortgarra or Gortgarve, CO Mayo, Ireland.

Would appreciate all leads and will share what I have also.
Luck of the Irish to you.

Chris Lydon
