Samuel Lusk Sr. 1747-1792
married ca 1769 Augusta Co., VA. to Susannah Stephenson. He was an Indian Scout in the territory which became known as Tazewell County, VA.
Samuel Sr. along with three adult sons were murdered during an Indian raid there in Tazewell Co., VA. His son, Samuel Lusk JR.
1776-1846 joined his father's best friend and Milita partner Joseph Gibert in the local Tazewell Co.,VA milita to repell the Indians from the area. It was then (1792) that son Samuel Jr. was captured after watching Joseph Gilbert murdered by attacking Indians. (Samuel Jr. adventures of escaping Indians is a long story)
Samuel Lusk SR.'s widow, Susannah Stephenson remarried in 1793 in Wythe Co., VA. (now Tazewell Co.) to Thomas Godfrey.
