Hi Mike,

Lee is correct. Having a y-chromosome test run on your DNA sample would only yeild information on your Miller ancestry. The y-chromosome is only passed from father to son, never to a daughter. Its what determines you being a male.

So your ancesstress Rebecca (Lusk) Miller would not have inherited the y-chromosome from her father John C. Lusk and therefore would not have been able to pass it on to her offspring.

Like Lee, I'd be interested to read more about your Lusk ancestry. My Lusks ended up in Missouri too. They migrated from Mercer Co. VA (later WV) to Cedar Co. MO in the 1850s.
