In Virgil's Civil War letters, does he mention the names Col. Lawrence M. Allen, Lt.Col. James A. Keith, anything about events in Madison County, NC (Union raid on Marshall or Shelton Laurel killing)? I've been researching Madison County during the war and reconstruction. Virgil Lusk was prosecuting attorney in the murder trial of James Keith in 1868-69. I'll be happy to exchange info. dslagle@bellsouth.net
