Mike: Thank you so very much for the wonderful information.
The youngest child Beulah was my mother's mother. I am named for Beulah's husband and son, Claude Levy Sr. and Jr.
Where ever did you find such wonderful intersting information? Never knew Sallie was born in Al. I remember her very well. Lovely, neat woman. Dipped snuff but you never saw it but once in a while she would pick up her can and spit into it. Always had that tiny cedar twig in the corner of her mouth. Wore her hair braided and coiled on the back of her head. Loved her fried hot water cornbread.
Always tried to be there about noon when she would fix some and of course I was offered a piece to eat. From the looks of my grandmother and her sister's, Sallie must have been one good looking woman. Joseph was a small built man from pictures I have seen of him. He died when I was a toddler. Thanks again.
