It has been some time since we researched the Charles Lusk Sr. family. However I was wondering the source identifying William and Charity as the parents of Charles Jr. In Charles Sr's Will he listed sons Joseph & Edward to recieve 40 acres each. Sons William, Isaac, and Charles as executors. Polly Coleman, wife of Henry Coleman, one equal part of personal property. The will was produced the 22nd of August 1845 by Jehu Lusk and John Lacy in Benton County, MO. As I recall Joseph remained in Augalaize, William returned with niece Minerva Pippen, Issac died in Nov. 1845 in Benton County, Henry Coleman went to Mercer County, MO where he filed on land, and Charles returned to Augalaize before joining the Colemans in Mercer County where he filed on land. Edward later left a will naming brothers John E. and Joseph. Jehu and his sons went on to Kansas I believe. William was appointed guardian of Elcy B Lusk who later went to live with the Colemans. Charles Sr. remarried just before he died leaving a son Silas Charles Henry Lusk who died in 1876 and is buried in St. Clair, Co, MO.
I would appreciate hearing from you regards the above. Thanks Del and Diane Poole
