I have been researching a line of Lusks which settled in Augusta County, VA about 1740's. John Lusk came down from PA. with sons, family and settled on the Beverly Manor Land grant. I am interested in pursuing this line but dont know what you will need as I am not sure if they were originally Irish or Scottish. There are SOOOO many Lusks also, and of course they all used the sames names over and over. This particular John Lusk died and willed his estate to son Robert but was held in the hands of John Hayes until Robert became of age. I have a copy of the will etc. Robert then went on to marry and settle in Carter County, Tn after the Rev. war. There was more than one John Lusk in the Augusta County area, a son of NAthan Lusk was also named John but was not the father of this particular Robert we are tracing. Some will argue with me on that but they have not done their homework. (always check references, dates, etc)Anyway will be happy to supply any other info to help out if possible.
