A Phila Lounsbury may have married Thomas Vandervort, probably in Orange Co., New York, around 1800. Thomas appears to have died relatively young. His will was probated 12 May 1818, and named a daughter Eleanor, and sons, John and Thomas Lounsbury Vandervort. Thomas's father JohnVandervort and his step-brother Jesse Wood were executors.
Phila Vandervort, wife of Thomas Vandervort, was mentioned in the 1815 Orange Co. will of Isaac Pinckney. One of the other people mentioned in the will was a child, Phila Ann Weeden -- presumably named after Phila Vandervort.
There were several Weedens and Odells mentioned in the Pinckney will as well as Henry Wisner, and Jacob Berthof. All of theses individuals were related to eachother by blood or marriage.
Does anyone have information about Phila Lounsbury and Thomas Vandervort?
