My Daniel Lounsbury (Lounsberry) born in New York about 1793 (one census lists him as born about 1801), and married to Phebe (Niffen?) must have moved from New York to Franklin County, Indiana between 1838 and 1843. His children, as listed on the 1850 Federal Census, Franklin Co., Indiana are Edward, Herman, Caroline, Sarah, Phebe, and Daniel.
The family moved to Tuscola Twp., Douglas Co., Illinois about 1860. Daniel died there in 1871.
In the 1870 Douglas Co., Illinois Federal Census Herman is listed as married to Caroline (unknown) and children are Ida, P. J. (Phebe Jane?), and Clara A. Lounsberry. A John Davis, 18, and Mark Rident, 55, are living with the family.
Edward is listed as married to Almira and apparently no children. An Adaline Fouste, 31, and child L.A. Fouste, age 2, are living with them.
Daniel's son Daniel, is still living with his parents in 1870. Joseph Eubanks, 18 is living with them.
Daniel's daughter Caroline Lounsberry Cooley is living with her family, in Arcola Twp. in Douglas County.
I don't know what happened to Phebe, but I believe Sarah married David Cooley and also moved to Douglas County. Just haven't located them yet.
