Hi ~ My father, Edwin Lyle (or Leon, perhaps) Lombard was born in Worcester County, Mass in 1917. (I learned this from his enlistment records from WWII.) I believe he was born or grew up in Whitman, Mass. His mother was living in 1960 and I do not know when she died. I have no information on his father. I know for sure of one brother, James, and I think a sister Pat, other possible brothers, Joseph and Robert. I know nothing more about my father's family. He married my mother, Dorothy, on 1/1/46 (or '47) and they lived in PA, as did my uncle, James. Edwin died in 1987, preceded in death by James, who never married. I'm hoping to trace my paternal ancestry and perhaps uncover relatives I never knew.
