LOFTUS data http://www.genealogybuff.com/data.htm#Loftus Found this using http://www.genealogybuff.com [Brunswick County, NC] Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Loftus, 91, of Southport Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Loftus, 91, of Southport died Wednesday, December 26, 2001, at Ocean Trail Nursing Center. A memorial service was conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday at Peacock-Newnam Chapel with the Rev. Lloyd Pendergraft officiating. Mrs. Loftus was born January 8, 1910, in Olean, N. Y., daughter of the late Ellery and Eva Turner Lathrop, and moved to Southport in 1994. Mrs. Loftus, a Methodist, was a former member of the garden club and woman’s club, both of Lakewood, N. Y., and was a longtime volunteer at the W.C.A. Hospital in Jamestown, N. Y. Mrs. Loftus was predeceased by her husband, Edward P. Loftus. Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Loftus Campbell of Southport and Carol Ann Kane of Derry, N. H.; a son, William E. Loftus of Jamestown, N. Y. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army Capital Campaign, 311 North 2nd Street, Wilmington, NC 28401.
