Hi Richard, I have a rough note shared with me and in my genealogy collection that There was a Henry Drago who was in the 7th US Cavalry under Custer. He was either in Reno Nev as some notes say or with Reno, but he suffered injuries and died 4 years later from wounds. This man was part Indian, as his grandfatehr was an Indian trader in the Chatham, Ont. area and was known as Indian Pete. Indian Pete was captured by the Indians and remained with them and married an Indian. I have thought all along, maybe Henry served as a scout. Henry had a nephew, Harry Sinclair Drago who was a writer of historical books and western novels.
Harry Sinclair Drago looked much like an Indian, so I think maybe Henry did also. I look forward to hearing from you and appreciate any assistance you can share.
