Lewis>John>Levi Need proof John is son of Lewis and proof that Levi is son of John! Thanks for your help! The book "Our Kin" is fine, but it is not enough proof. A will for Lewis Lineberger cannot be located. His brother Peter's will gives the name of one of his sons as John Lineberger. It appears that there are 2 Lineberger families in Lincoln County, North Carolina. ....Have only found information to support John Lineberger being the son of Peter not Lewis. It is clear the families had close interaction as the names appear in wills, court and marriage records. Records are needed to separate the two families and verify that John Lineberger was the son of Lewis Lineberger and that Eli Lineberger was the son of John Lineberger] Question? Do you have any information to share which identifies John as the son of Lewis and that Levi is the son of John? Do you have John's will?
