I have a lot of information on this Light. However, I believe that the name is actually Vachel, and not Vache as you have it here. Beginning with William and Patience Light, Halifax County, Va deeds 11:409. They moved to Northeast Tennessee in the late 1770's or early 1780's. They had lived in the Difficult Creek area in Halifax, and William's father is listed as John Light. The children of William and Patience are William, Jacob, John, Vachel, Joshua, Jacob, Patience, Eleanor, Susannah, and Prudence. There is so much information that I have here, but some areas that you will want to look up are..............Hawkins County, Tn Deeds, Hawkins County, Tn Marriages, Hawkins County Tn Wills, Hawkins County Tn tax list for 1809, 1830 Census for Dickson, Hawkins, Sullivan and Hickman Counties Tn, and the same with the 1850, 1860 census, Revolutionary War Pension Files John Light #S4549, Vachel Light #S1551,
William Light's will dated 25 September 1817 is found in Hawkins County Tn will book I, p.311, Please check out the book Familys of Hawkins County, Tn 1786-1994, there are several pages that contain all the information that I have given you here and then some. It is important to say that only two of the brothers remained in Tennessee and that the others moved on to other counties in Tennessee where they may or may not have settled. Also it is important to say that what is now Hawkins County, Tennesse was once Washington County, North Carolina, so become familiar with when the area changed and was no longer North Carolina, then it became the state of Franklin, then later Tennessee....
