She was born in Hawkins County and was a member of Cedars Chapel Baptist Church. Mrs. Light enjoyed quilting, canning, gardening, and especially doing for others. She loved all her grandchildren very much. She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester Roy Light and Sara Myrtle Smith Light; and her brother, Chester Roy Light, Junior. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Bobby Joe Light; her sons, Chris Light, of Church Hill, TN, Dennis Light and his wife Leighann, of Gray, TN; her daughters, Pat Henry and her husband Donnie, and Sue Lindsey, both of Church Hill, TN; her brothers, James Light, of Rogersville, TN, Clifford Light and his wife Linda, of Church Hill, TN; her sisters, Lorene Hartsock and her husband Hiram, of Emmett, ID, Jean Head, and Nella Mae Phillips, both of Rogersville, TN; grandchildren, Clayton, Donovan, and Jada Light, and Haley Lindsey, and Dustin Potter; great grandson, Mason Potter; several nieces and nephews; and cousins. The family would like to thank Sharon Bryant for all of her loving care. Calling hours are from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday, September 9, 2010, at Johnson Funeral Home of Church Hill. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m., Friday, September 10, 2010, in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Danny Dolen officiating. Graveside services will be conducted following the service at Morrison Cemetery in Beach Creek, Hawkins Co TN. Pallbearers will be Chris, Dennis, Clayton, and Donavan Light, Donnie Henry, Leo Lindsey, and Jada Light.
