Obituary Sue Light Emmert, 94, of 234 Cox Hollow Road, Rock Springs Community, Kingsport, Sullivan Co TN, died Monday, July 23, 2007 at Brookhaven Manor. Mrs. Emmert was born in Rogersville, Hawkins Co TN, on Dec. 11, 1912; she resided in Kingsport, Sullivan Co TN and was a member of Reservoir Road Baptist Church. Preceding her in death were her husband, Heiskle Emmert; son, Eugene Emmert; daughter, Vera Grace Emmert; parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Light; two sisters; and one brother. Surviving are a daughter, Lena Emmert White and husband, John; three grandchildren, Floyd Hill and wife Jan, Karen Meadows and husband James, Rodney Hill and wife Betty; eight great-grandchildren, Melissa Lloyd, Todd Meadows, Jason Meadows, Michael Belcher, Shannon Wean, Amber Arnold, Johnny Hill, and Ashley Smith; fourteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Burial will follow at Rock Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery. Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
