Unlike Broderbund CD-354, "Passenger and Immigration Lists Index, 1538-1940, from Gale Research, Inc." (see prior message), which contains merely an index to sources (including Egle 1890), Broderbund CD-512, "Pennsylvania Colonial Records," contains the full text of several works, including: William Henry Egle, ed. 1890. "Names of Foreigners Who Took the Oath of Allegiance to the Province and State of Pennsylvania, 1727-1775, with the Foreign Arrivals, 1786-1808." Pennsylvania Archives, ser. 2, v. XVII, Harrisburg, PA (reprinted 1967/76 by Genealogical Publ. Co., Baltimore, MD; issued 2000 on Broderbund CD-512). Below are verbatim quotes of the LICHT/LIGHT/etc. entries from Egle (1890) on this CD. Note that most lists span several pages; that there were two copies of some lists, one of which contained ages of the passengers; that only males 16 years of age or older were required to take the Oath of Allegiance; and that females and children under age 16 were rarely listed.
