I would be most greatful to anyone who could help me out with this. My 4xGreat Grandmother was Ann Leonard of Halifax Nova Scotia. The 1777 marriage bond found on Nova Scotia Archives and Resource Management(NSARM)site shows her as marrying John Cunnable, my 4x Great Grandfather, also of Halifax. Another source, Genealogical Memoir of The Cunnabell, Conable or Connable Family, by Edward J. Connable & John Newcomb 1886. In this book John Cunnabell, son of Preserved Cunnabell, is recorded as marying Nancy Leonard in Halifax in 1779. I am convinced that Ann and Nancy are one in the same. Ann perhaps being a second name or nickname that she went by. I am wondering if anyone on the list has any information as to what Leonard family Ann/Nancy Leonard fits into? No information regarding parents or siblings is given on any documents I have come across. Could she be a sister of Jonathan? Thank you, Graeme Stewart |
