Cheryl, I don't know if there is a connection here or not. My husband's family is also from Hasroun, immigrating through Ellis Island about 1910. His great grandparents were Nader Nader b abt. 1865 m. MANTURA AWAD b abt 1865 in Hasroun. Both are buried in Windsor, Ontario. They had four sons and a daughter, all but one lived in Detroit. Do you have any information on your MARRUN AWAD? I wonder if there is a connection. Could they have been sisters? All of the Nader offspring except one grew up in the Lebanese neighborhood near Old St. Mary's Church in Detroit.
