We have the same information on the Lassley's down to Jacob. We found the will for Jacob in Martin County Indiana. He lists four children "all grown": Joseph Henry (our ancestor), Nicholas S., Hannah who married Jackson Richardson, and Sarah who married Aaron Bacon. We found marriage record for Jacob and Polly Henry in Martin County Indiana. Marriage date was 22 December 1822.
There is a military application for Jacob from the War of 1812.
But we cannot find any information as to what happened to Polly. We know Jacob died after 1856 in Martin County Indiana.
Polly disappeared from information after the birth of Nicholas, the youngest child.
Interestingly we found a marriage for Mrs. Mary Lassley and John Smith in Martin County prior to 1856. And reportedly Nicholas states he was raised by his older sister.
Lots of mysteries in Jacob's life.
