Seeking information on Lanier families, known to have been born, lived or died in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi: Joseph Smith Lanier, born June 2, 1847, reported Randolph Co., Alabama child of: William Washington Smith and Charlotte Teresa Jackson married: Nancy Jane Bennett, born June 17, 1852 Georgia child of: John N. Bennett and Martha Gamble Reported to have had 14 children 1900 Monroe County, MS census reports 10 living Known names of their children: Louisiana "Lulu" Lanier, born 1869 John William Lanier, 1870's Emma E. Lanier, born 1873 Thomas Jefferson Lanier, born 1875 Hattie E.
