Joseph aka Jean-Baptiste LAMAIRE ou LEMAIRE (Jean-Baptiste & Madeleine REINHARD / RENARD) who married Catherine LETENDRE 07 Jan 1789 at Sorel, is from the city of METZ in Lorraine (Moselle). See his marriage contract 05 Jan. 1789 before notary Antoine Robin. It is quite probable that he came in Canada with the Hesse-Hanau troups in 1776/77.
