My great grand mother was born in Cuba (Matanzas) by 1880. Her name was Maria Bofill de Lamar (Bofill =father's surname, de Lamar = mother's surname). Maria's Mother was Leonor de Lamar and after her husband's death sent one of her many children, Maria aged 8, to Spain. Maria lived with her father's (Bofill) family. Maria grew-up, married and lived in Lloret de Mar Cataluņa-Spain ever since and never went back to Cuba. I'm trying to investigate my roots and the history of the faimily. Any help will be wellcome.
