Vincent, Go to www.sos.la.gov This is the Louisiana Secretary of State website. Click on Archives then click Research Library then click Vital Records Index then click La Deaths. Search for Amos Pittman in Orleans Parish. I did this and there is an Amos Pittman died 11 March 1951 Orleans Parish. You can order the certificate by mail for a $5.00 fee.
