I was recently sent a photo album that contain some pictures of a school labeled K.F.C.
One picture is of a building labeled Parrish Hall and a picture of 3 young woman labeled 3 Roomates in 19 Pinkerton. I know the Pinkerton name has a connection to Midway college. Another picture is labeled 1917-1918 Freshman class and our teacher Mrs. ?Joe or Zoe? Ethel Smith.
My grandmother was Nora Josephine Anderson born June 02, 1902. Her family lived in Lexington in 1915 but she had family from Owen, Scott and the Peak's Mill area in Franklin.
I was just wondering if K.F.C. if it meant Ky Female Orphanage that later became Midway college or Ky Franklin County something.
My grandmother has been a great mystery to me, this may be my first clue. I will be glad to share the pictures if anyone is interested.
thanks so much
