Thanks for getting in touch. I have a LITTLE more information on Samuel. I have been trying to find records of his birth or baptism, etc., in SW Pennsylvania, now that I have figured out where he was born (in Fayette and Washington Counties). No luck on that, but a professional genealogist did an analysis of records that support my belief that some Internet records wrongly name his uncle William, as his father, rather than Nathaniel.
I have some information also on the families with whom the Case family traveled to southwestern PA in the 1760s: the Paddocks (Paddox) and the Payne (Paine or Pain) families. These families intermarried for 2-3 generations.
Once the Case's arrive in KY, there are plenty of records of them--here and on into Ohio and Indiana and Iowa (where my father was born). And many records before PA, too. It is just that "exodus" generation that I cannot document very well.
I'd be happy to share what I have if you email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
