Dolores and Danny Bohn of Louisville have been compiling in Word documents, the Baptism records of many of the early Catholic Churches in Marion, Nelson, and Washington Counties of Kentucky. Their work has spanned several years of research and currently, they have compiled over 2,544 pages in several Word files, which also includes many marriages and many names of the early Catholic families that migrated to Kentucky from Maryland including white and black families. The Bohnís have donated earlier versions of their work to several libraries, which have a genealogy section. If you have done research at the libraries in Louisville or at Lebanon, Marion Co, KY, they are there for all to use for free. But for those researching their ancestors for these areas, and a trip to Kentucky is not so easy arranged or you would like the convenience of having it as a research tool available at any time, they are selling their CD for a very reasonable price, $20.00 plus postage. You can contact Dolores or Danny at their e-mail address Dannyjbo@aol.com and they will send a reply to you with more details regarding the disk and how to acquire one. I personally transferred the files from my copy of the CD to my computerís hard drive and I have cut and pasted hundreds of baptismal records to the note files in my family history database. The files on the CD are organized by county of baptism then alphabetically by fatherís surname. If I can answer any of your questions, please email me at my address at firstname.lastname@example.org. Over the years I have copied many of the baptismal records from books when in Kentucky but having so many right here at home has helped me remove many of my brick walls.
