I'm looking for any info about my Peter YOUNG. He was born about 1785, possibly in Nelson County.

Although Peter's wife's name has never been proven, we believe it may have been Elizabeth CAGLE. Their known children were:

Nancy Caroline Young (b. 1815 in Kentucky; m. 1) Benjamin TIPTON, 2) William TARKINGTON)

Christian Young (b. 1817 in Kentucky; m. Mary DAUGHTRY; Christian and son Charles murdered by Jayhawkers after the Civil War)

Elizabeth Young (b. 1820 in Kentucky; m. John Jacob KEMP; Elizabeth died 1850)

unknown female Young (b. 1820-1825; m. George RISENER, d. bef. 1846.)

Mary Elvira Young (b. 1824 in Kentucky; m. John Joiner TEAGUE)

Margaret Young (b. 1828 in Arkansas; m. George RISENER, widower of Margaret's older sister.)

Charlotte Young (b. 1832 in Arkansas; m. Thomas RISENER, nephew of Charlotte's brother-in-law, George)

It's also very possible that Peter had a son named Joseph, born around 1805-1810. It's also possible that Peter had an older brother named James Young.

Peter migrated to Independence county, Arkansas between 1824 & 1828, settling in the Turkey Creek area of what is now Izard County.

Does anyone know of any connection between my Peter Young and the Peter or Christian Young who appear in the 1785-1791 Nelson County Tithables lists?

Also, is there a Bentonville in Nelson County? Some of Peter Young's children claim to have been born in Bentonville, Kentucky and I can find no such place.
