I am searching for ancestors of Edward Shain (b:@1760 d:@1814),who had 5 children (all born in Kentucky around the 1790s). Tax records in Nelson County in the 1790s. Wife's name may be Mary and his father's name may be John. There were a couple of other Shain's in the same area that could have been brothers or uncles or even a father. William Shain and Francis Shain are the other two who had tithables/taxes recorded in Nelson county, KY/VA around the 1790s. Records indicate William and his first born son, John, were both born in Saddleriver, Bergen County, New Jersey. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
