Does anyone know when John J. Bruce moved into Logan County, Ky ? Last year Mrs.Betty Wakeland gave me some helpful info. on John J.Bruce but I lost contact with her. Mr.Bruce lived in Sumner County,Tn at least until 1860 and sort of disappeared. He was a half-brother to my g-grandfather, Sparrel Hale Law 1847-1924. Family stories told that John J. Bruce left Tenn.in 1860,s to go to one of Dakota states(or Territory) to homestead or look for gold. John J.Bruce (1828-1906) is buried in Logan County,Ky along with some of his family.He could have been married three or maybe 4 times.He was married twice in Sumner County,Tn. Thanks for any help.
