Shirley, I have assembled the following information on Permelia's family. Please be advised, I am still looking for hard evidence to tie Alfred Cralle in Lunenburg Co, VA to Alfred Crawley in Mason County, KY to Alfred Crawley in Gallatin County, Kentucky. I know that Alfred Cralle married PATSEY INGRAM 20 Nov 1800 in Lunenburg County, VA. On 30 Sep 1821 in Mason County, KY Alfred Cralle/Crawley signed a letter of consent for his daughter to marry William Robertson. Later we find Alfred Crawley in Gallatin County, KY. Hannah is a very common Cralle name and makes perfect sense. Also, Alfred is associated with other Cralles in Mason County. One of which is my G...grandfather, Kenner Cralle(y). Alfred moves west on the south side of the Ohio through Kentucky and eventually ends up in MO. Kenner parallels the movement west on the north side of the Ohio rivers and ends up in Souther IL. It is theorized that Kenner may be buried in MO. I think slavery may have dictated which side of the river they lived. Someday I plan to visit Mason County and go through the court records. However, for now I believe that Alfred is a first cousin of my Kenner. I suspect they may have been raised together. I have more information on the Cralles but nothing on William Robertson, sorry.
