Bailey's son William was either his first or second son. William was born about 1789 or 1790, either in Penn. or Vir. He was bondsman for his sister Jane's wedding in Caldwell, KY in 1819. I have no information on whether he married and had children.
Bailey had another son named Robert. One of Robert's sons was named Isaac Newton Cain. Isaac, b. either 1820 or 1823 in MO, went as a "49er" to California and spent his life there. Isaac Newton had a brother, James Bailey who was b. 1814 in KY and lived only five years. He died in MO.
Another of Robert's sons, William, had a son named Newton.
Same names is often a clue to relationships. However, there are no Andrew Jackson Cains in my records. I have no Cains listed as living in Ballard County.
So many coincidences. Your family could be the "unknown branch."
I hope this information is of some help.
