Thanks Jerry, I did find most of the census for William Jr.& Nancy & his sister families, seems John & Matthew disappeared. John was in the Civil War fought in Cynthiana at Battle Grove. In old letters my ggrandfather wrote Matthew live at Flour Creek.
I found a Samuel Gracy b.1810 living in Newport,Campbell co.in 1850 census. He was a riverboat pilot, died in an accident on the river. Could there be a connection? William Sr.(father) worked on the riverboats going up & down Ohio. The spelling is off but I have found Gray spelled several different ways. William Sr. would have been abt.50yrs.old. in 1850. I believe William Sr. was living in Vislia at that time. Is that close to Newport?
Is there ANYTHING I can do with this info? I need some direction. There are so many John's in the area & not 1 Matthew. HELP thanks for all your help. Pam
