I'll admit I had to read your post a few times before it made sense, but to answer your question, YES you can find records even if they were destroyed in the fire.
The National Archives have an explanation as to what was lost in the fire and how they go about finding information pertaining to personnel whose records were destroyed. That explanation can be found here
Once you have read that, instructions on how to obtain the records and what information you need to submit in order to do so are found here
