I'm trying to track my father's movements in Korean. He served in the Army on two seperate occassions - enlisted for 3 years, the second time he was called from inactive duty and he served almost 2 years. His second discharge was in June, 1954.

His "most significant duty assignment" is listed as Co "C", 271st Inf. Regt. I've not been able to find any info on the hierarchy of the army, and can't find anything on the 271st Inft. Regt. in Korea. Any idea how I can go about tracking his movements in battle?

Medals he received were: Korean Service Medal w/2 bronze zervice stars, UN service medal, Combat Infantry Badge, national defence Service Medal. Don't know if this helps.

Thanks in advance for any help.
