Paul, I will send you a direct e-mail, but I wanted to post this follow-up. I am quite confident that the Martin Egbert you referenced would be my great grandfather. He was indeed a Presbyterian minister, and he had sons with the names you mentioned. My grandfather was Allen, and my father spoke many times of his Uncle Sam (in fact, I think I met Samuel once).
