Published in the Knoxville News Sentinel (Knox Co. TN) on 7/12/2008: KINNEY, ROBERT LAWTON, JR. - age 54, of Maryville, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 11, 2008. Retired from Tampa General Hospital, Tampa, Florida. Preceded in death by parents, Robert L. Kinney, Sr. and Elsie V. (Cook) Kinney; brother, Bill McGill; grandparents, Rondo (Papaw) and Lundy (Mom) Kinney and Leroy and Margaret Cook. Survived by brother, Allen A. McGill, Sr. and wife Sheron; sister, Jeanette Merida; and his dog Maxwell, his best friend; nephews, Charlie Merida and Allen A. McGill, Jr.; niece, Tracy McGill; several uncles, aunts; and very special cousins, Billy and Teresa Finchum and family. Family and friends will receive friends 6-8 pm, Sunday, July 13, at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel of Berry Funeral Home. Family will meet at 1:45 pm at Highland Memorial Cemetery for funeral services at 2 pm, officiated by Rev. Toby Everett.
