The book, written by Dean George Story, Chaplain to the Army of William in 1690, entitled "Story's Wars in Ireland" and a "Continuation of the Impartial History of the Wars in Ireland" is well-worth reading if you are searching for names of Officers in either William's or James' armies. The book is a unique record and deals with the difficulties experienced by all the different nationalities involved. Remember that this war in Ireland was a European War involving William, supported and sponsored by the Pope against James, pretender to the English Throne and supported by France and the anti-English element in Ireland at that time. William and Mary, as a result of this War solved the Succession difficulties of the English Throne.
I have taken many photo-copies of relevant data to my family "Storey" many of whom were beneficiaries of the Williamite Wars. Dean George provides diagrams and sketches showing the tactics of both armies and recent metal detection of the Battle sites prove that the concentration of metal in certain spots support the drawings of Dean George Story in 1693.
