Hi, I am researching the Sixsmith/Sexsmith family or varient of the name, originating in Eng. Some of the men fought for King Wm and were given land in Ireland, and settled in the Kilkenny, and Maryborough, Queens Cty. Laoighs area probably around the late 1600 early 1700. It looks like by the end of 1700's, many of the Sixsmith families had left Ireland and went to the US and later Upper Canada era 1820's and 1840's. There are still some living in Ireland. I know there are a lot of Sixsmith's still living in Eng., but it is the families (maybe brothers) that went to Ireland with the land grants that I am looking for. Not sure where to search for the records of the men that served, if there are any. Thanks for any help. Sandra Kostuk Sexsmith
