If he was indeed from New Hampshire there is a book you need to find. It is called "New Hampshire Men in the Louisburg Expedition, 1745". I found my Towle ancestor from NH in that book.
There was a service called "BWO" for Books We Own on the net. Look it up with a yahoo search or a google search. Search for BWO. When you find the site, go to the NH section. Look for the book I mentioned, and get the email address of the person you need to contact for a look-up of a name. Contact that email address, ask for info about the person you are looking for. The person who owns the book should reply to you with what info they have.
This book is also available from some librarys or historical societies. I think the New England Historical Society (NEHGS) may have a copy in their library. You would probably have to be a member of the NEHGS or find someone who was a member to get access to the book from them.
