John Hiram Kight, age 79, of Raysville Road, died unexpectedly at 12:24 p.m. Sunday at the home of a neighbor. Born in Jackson County, he was the son of the late James H. and Mattie Leasure Kight. He was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Harper. He was a retired employee of the B and O Railroad. Survivors include five children, Mrs. Herbert (Helen) Cartee, Mrs. Elwyn (Mary) Ray, Mrs. Paul (Doris) Picklesimer and Harold, all of Ray and Homer of Cincinnati; eight grandchildren; and two brothers, James of Dayton and Estel of Ray. Friends may call at the Ware Funeral Home, Chillicothe, from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Services will be held there 1 p.m. Thursday with Rev. J. Darrell Hatfield officiating.
