Any more information on this Kerlin/Kirlin family's Irish ancestors? We are descended from Michael's brother Philip Kirlin and his wife Anne Kirlin (that was her maiden name too). They arrived in the U.S. on the ship "Bolivia" in October of 1884 with children Catherine, Annie, James, Philip, Robert, John and Denis. Their oldest sons Patrick and Michael had preceded them. The entire family can be found in the 1885 Iowa census for Taylor twp Harrison Co. They are living with Philip's brother Patrick and some other children Katie, Mary and Frank (I haven't figured out whose children those are -- I thought Patrick was a lifelong bachelor). Philip died a few years later. His widow Ann lived in Missouri Valley IA for the rest of her life. Philip and Anne's gravestones can be found on iowagravestones.org (in Mt. Carmel cemetery in Harrison Co. IA).
